Wajid Khan
Conservative Party
Khan was born in Lahore, Pakistan. He moved to Canada in 1946. He is married and has one child.
Khan first ran for the Liberals and was elected in Mississauga-Streetsville in 2004. He held on to the seat in the 2006 general election, then crossed the floor of the House of Commons to join the Conservatives in January, 2007.
Khan is president and CEO of one of the country's largest auto dealerships, based in Toronto. Before moving to Canada, he served for eight years as an officer and a fighter pilot in Pakistan Air Force.
He is a recipient of Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal and has helped establish scholarship programs to retrain foreign engineering students. In addition, he sponsors several minor hockey teams.

Bonnie Crombie

Crombie is married, has three children and lives in Mississauga.
She has earned an MBA and speaks four languages: English, French, Polish and Ukranian.
Crombie has worked in marketing positions with McDonald's and Walt Disney. She has practiced government relations for the Canadian Trade Association and the Insurance Board of Canada. She was a consultant before becoming the Liberal candidate in the riding.
She has been a fundraiser for the Credit Valley Hospital and served as vice-chair of Mayor Hazel McCallion's Task Force on the Arts in Mississauga. She sits on Peel Regional Police Community Liaison Committee at 11 Division is a member of the Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership Corporation and has served as the fund development chair of the Ontario Brain Injury Association.

Otto Casanova

Otto Casanova is married and has one daughter.
This is his third attempt to win the seat in Mississauga-Streetsville. He was defeated in 2004 and again in 2006.
He is a businessman by profession and founded the family business in 1995. He currently is the manager of international trade department for a Canadian manufacturing firm.
Casanova studied economics, computer science, general arts and science, graphic arts and political science.
He is a founding member of the Toronto Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and served as president of the organization for one year. He also is a board member of the Mississauga Traffic Safety Council.

Keith Pinto
New Democratic Party
Pinto is 27 and single.
He is seeking public office for the first time. His only previous political experience is as an executive member of the NDP Riding Association in Mississauga-Streetsville.
He currently works as a photo lab technician. He holds a second job with Community Living Toronto as a trainer for people with intellectual disabilities.
Pinto is a graduate of Mount Carmel Secondary School. He holds a political science degree from York University and is currently pursuing a graduate degree in governance from Athabasca University.
He is an executive member of the Sierra Club in Peel Region and is also a member of Peel Poverty Action Group.

Viktor Spanovic

Spanovic is single and dates his high school sweetheart.
He is seeking public office for the first time.
He worked with Hydro Mississauga until his contract expired and has since devoted his time to working on his campaign.
Spanovic has a specialist degree in political science from the University of Toronto at Mississauga.
He volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Peel.

Ralph Bunag

Bunag was born in the Philippines and came to Canada in 1976. He is married and has three children and six grandchildren.
This is Bunag’s second attempt at public office. He was unsuccessful in his bid to win Ward 6 in the 2000 municipal elections.
Bunag is a former administrative judge and a private law practitioner. He has a law degree from San Beda University of Law and currently works as a financial consultant and paralegal practitioner.
